(More customer reviews)If you are NOT a side sleeper already, this pillow will probably be great for pregnancy. When you sleep on your side, your hips and shoulders are not evenly aligned, which can be uncomfortable plus one shoulder is always uner you and can fall asleep - not to mention the belly that hangs out as you become more an more pregnant.

If you already are a side sleeper, you probably have solved these problems. I sleep on a Temperpedic-type pillow for my neck/bottom shoulder plus use a king sized pillow paralell to my body to align hips and top shoulder. This is basically what this and other body pillows do for you.

The problem I found is with this "C" shaped design, you are forced to use the Snoogle as the pillow under your head. It is like using a brand new cotton filled pillow -my head was propped up high, causing a neck ache. I only want to sleep with my existing pillow. Also the material was hot.Every night I tried it I threw it out of bed within an hour or so.

My solution was to instead buy a "cuddle U" pillow which is shaped like a "U". I put the curved part of the U at my feet and can use my existing pillow for my head. I tuck the covers around the entire pillow and still get the body support I am looking for. I am a tall person (5'10") and the curve being at/near my feet is not a problem.

My Brest Friend Slipcover Review

(More customer reviews)BE AWARE THAT NOT ALL COLORS ARE THE "DELUXE" SLIPCOVER.Product title states "My Brest Friend Deluxe Slipcover."Blue/white and (maybe) Green Starburst are NOT deluxe, but "original" slipcovers.They will both fit the deluxe PILLOW, but they are NOT "deluxe" SLIPCOVERS.

Here's the difference between the deluxe and the original SLIPCOVERS (not pillows.)

The Deluxe cover that originally came with my DELUXE pillow uses a plusher ("fluffy") material and uses a velcro attachment to adjust the fit of the pillow.Looser fit on my deluxe pillow.

The "original" blue/white cover that I received is a plain cotton material, not plushy at all.It does not have velcro.You can adjust the fit by lengthening/shortening the strap on the buckle (think of how you adjust the straps on a backpack.)It fits snugger on my pillow.

You can see these differences if you examine the product pictures closely.As far as I can tell from the my brest friend website, my brest friend deluxe pillows have two bumps on it, and come with said deluxe covers, and originals are completely flat, with the non-plushy original covers.This explains the difference in fit.The deluxe are probably looser to accommodate the bumps on the deluxe pillow.

Product title leads one to believe all these colors are the same product.They are not.I thought I was getting the deluxe cover.Amazon should make this difference clear.

The only way one can tell is by looking closely at the product picture as one clicks on the different colors available.Also, when it is added to the cart, the product name (in the cart) changes to "My Brest Friend Slipcover" (note the absence of the word "DELUXE.")

I am disappointed because the blue/white is grouped with the deluxe slipcovers and cost $17, and I purchased it thinking it was the deluxe cover but it was not.But if you search for "my brest friend slipcovers" (no deluxe) you find some other designs under a separate product listing, for $14.50, as of this writing.Boo amazon!I would have returned it but didn't want to go through the rigmarole.

(More customer reviews)The Grow to Sleep gives great support for sleeping comfortably during pregnancy. I like the elasticized middle portion for adjusting for the most comfortable position. What I do NOT like about the Grow to Sleep is that the 2 ends of the body pillow are too hard to use as a comfortable pillow. The pillow filling is tantamount to what is in a $5 drugstore pillow. I slept with my head on the end pillow portion about 2 nights, and kept waking with a stiff neck from the rock hard stuffing. I ended up taking off one end and just using the rest of the pillow (J shape) instead. This has worked well....but I would recommend saving yourself the extra money this pillow costs and just buy a cheaper J-shaped version.

(More customer reviews)I tried every nursing pillow out there.I had settled on the "Brest Friend", but found it so difficult to put it on every time with a screaming hungry baby in one hand.Then I went to see a lactation consultant and she showed me this pillow.It is firm, tall (at least 6") and flat across, but curved on the side to facilitate a closer fit.I do wish it had the little head-rest bumps like the Brest Friend, but I've taken to using a blanket for that and that works just fine.Also, as a bonus the cover is adorable and very, very soft!

(More customer reviews)I am so disappointed!After reading all the other reviews, I thought I'd treat myself and purchase this pillow... I mean the concept of this pillow is great, but it is not constructed well.I like firm pillows for my bed, but this pillow is not the least bit comfortable.I tried it for three nights, and coincidentally had headaches for the first half of the day, so I went to the chiropractor. My chiropractor said it could be my new pillow.I then tried to sleep with it two other nights in a one week span, and sure enough each morning I would wake up with a headache.I guess the pillow is causing me to sleep in a strange position which is messing with my spine.It is just a shame I threw the box and bag away upon opening the package.Biggest waste of money.

I fixed this problem by buying a body pillow at bed bath & beyond.It is still firm, yet cushy enough to mold to my body, and it was under $10!My hip pain has been fixed.But ladies the Snoogle is an utter rip off.

(More customer reviews)I purchased a Boppy pillow prior to purchasing this pillow from another website.After struggling with the boppy constantly sliding off my lap and feeling like I had to hold onto the pillow and the baby for dear life or they would both slide to the floor (I have a wiggly baby), I went looking for another pillow.I found this one and I have been fairly happy with it.It still slides around on my lap some, but there is more room so it is more secure and my baby seems to like it better.His head is more elevated and there is more room for him on the pillow to sprawl out.He often falls asleep on my lap on the pillow.I do have some complaints though.The fabric is very thin, allowing polyester fibers to creep through and the pillow sheds them all over his feet, hands and clothes.The fabric stains easily because it is so dark (much darker than it appears on the website--medium to dark denim colored) and surface washing doesn't get rid of the stains.The product description says "machine washable" but the product information that comes with the pillow recommends against it and says that the pillow won't hold it's shape if you machine wash it.The pillow hasn't held it's shape anyway because the pillows don't have very firm stuffing.The Boppy pillow I had was stuffed firmly.This one is very squishy, more like a cheap bed pillow.The top pillow is held on with a velcro strap so that you can flip it back and forth when you switch sides (a handy feature), but the strap is causing the bottom pillow to smash down in the center so the pillow has a tendency to "fold up" like a book, when the baby is on it.Also, because he is a wiggler, the top pillow tends to twist around the bottom pillow.I still much prefer it over the Boppy, but I wish there was a happy medium.I gave it four stars because I like it that much better than the Boppy, in spite of it's flaws.
