I'm still a bit irritated that the Snoogle doesn't come with a 100% cotton, soft, zippered cover, but alas, it doesn't. And given how much time I spend with my Snoogle, I decided it was worth spending the extra money to have a nicer feeling cover. I'd give it five stars if it didn't seem like such a rip-off.

(More customer reviews)This pillow has been very useful, but it will only last for this pregnancy.I am a back sleeper, so it has helped to keep me on my side.It also supports my tummy and releaves pressure from my back.I opted for this brand because it wasn't made of memory foam (thinking the memory foam wouldn't give me firm enough support).I now wish I had gone with another brand that is made of memory foam, like the Rest EZ II, which might hold it's form better. I originally didn't go with that one because there were several reviews saying the velcro hurts when it comes in contact with your skin.Well, the same holds for this one.I have had to cover it with a blanket at this point, since the pillows are becoming so mishaped and it exposes the velcro if I move around.The nice feature about the velcro, though, is that you can detatch the two pillows and use one to sit on, and I imagine you can use one for support during nursing.I wouldn't be able to sleep without this pillow, so I do find it useful, but for the next pregnancy, I will probably try one with memory foam.I think it is just personal preference.I highly recommend the idea of this pillow.You will sleep much better than you will without it. But don't plan on it lasting for the next pregnancy.

(More customer reviews)I would give this 5 stars just for its use as a pregnancy pillow.It was great because it is firm so it didn't sag and gave me the support I needed and wasn't so huge that it took up the whole bed.Then I opened it up and used it for my baby's tummy time and the short barrier kept the dog out so it stayed clean.We did that for about the first 2 months until he got too tall to fit.I didn't use it as a nursing pillow at first because it seemed too big and awkward, but I put it behind my back so I could sit up in bed to nurse.Now my baby is 4 months old and I just purchased a glider (should have done that 4 months ago) and I have rediscovered this pillow because it is big enough that my 16lb 4 month old can still lay on it to nurse while I rock him.I have recommended this to friends.oh, and another reviewer mentioned it is hard to clean, so I kept mine covered with 2 standard pillowcases.

(More customer reviews)Cannot figure out why this is labeled as a toy, but here goes... I have owned this pillow for two weeks now and it has been a great help to me. At first, the head cushion was a bit large for me and sort of hurt my neck, but it is calming down with use. The material is comfortable and even though I have not washed it yet because I covered the head portion of it with an extra pillowcase it seems painless to wash and put back together due to it having a zipper unlike many pregnancy pillows I researched. I would not know for sure though at this point however. There are so many pillows out there at ridiculous prices so I was happy to find one for $50 and I must say it is actually worth the money. However, I would not recommend this to taller women. I am not even a full 5ft. 2in. and this pillow hugs my body wonderfully. I cannot imagine it would be very comfortable for people much larger in height especially the portion that goes between your legs. I do not think it would be in the correct position for taller women. The biggest complaint I have about this product is that they need to put a little less cushion in the area for your head and more in the area for your legs. Other than that, I am very happy with this purchase and it has helped me to sleep better and avoid sleeping on my back so often. I hope it continues to serve me well as I enter my sixth month of pregnancy soon.

(More customer reviews)I bought this pillow around 18 weeks because I didn't like the inflexibility of body pillows (which always stay the same shape) or that reviewers complained that the stuffing in the big pillows shifts around inside.
I do like this wedge a lot and will not travel without it because it defeinately takes the weight off my back by pushing up my tummy. I reccomend having a couple of other pillows though, one behind the back (to keep you from rolling over on your back while you are asleep) one under your head and one or two between your legs. This ends up being alot of pillows but they are more flexible than the body pillows and a lot cheaper. I can also throw this in a suitcase or take it to the living room for a nap or watching television on the couch, which I couldn't do with a larger pregnancy pillow.It is also comfortable to sit on (as is the regular boppy pillow) if you are on the floor for some reason or sitting up in bed.

UPDATE - not so hot after about month 7 or 8. I think this was great in the beginning, but don't expect it to solve your pregnancy related discomfort for the entire pregnancy.

Preggle® Comfort Air-Flow Body Pillow - Ivory/ Khaki Review

(More customer reviews)I tried several other pregnancy pillows before I ended up with this one. This is the only one out there that I could find that wasn't made to go under your neck/head as well as between your knees. I have problems with neck pain and headaches and needed to be able to use my regular pillow. I am currently in my last month of pregnancy and having been using this pillow every night since about 4 months. I would not be able to sleep without this pillow. With any body pillow it is hard to roll over with it but at this point I am so huge that the rolling over at all is a task anyway. I have had a lot of hip and back pain throughout my pregnancy and this pillow is the only reason I am able to get any sleep at all at night because he it provides excellent support for my both my back and hips.

The air flow strap on it was more hassle than it was worth and was usually in the way more than anything so within the first few weeks of using the pillow I made my own replacement cover (without the extra strap thing) for the pillow out of an old sheet and it works much better without that thing. Although the air-flow strap was a bit of a nuisance I still give this pillow 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be able to use their own pillow under their head and still have a contoured body pillow to put your arms around and the curve to go between your knees. This pillow is also excellent for putting behind you to allow you to lie on a backwards angle without actually lying on your back. I bet this will also come in very handy once baby boy arrives to provide support during breatfeeding, either way I'll be holding on to this pillow long after pregnancy as it is the most comfortable body pillow I have ever owned and tried quite a few over the years!

(More customer reviews)I was a bit skeptical, to be honest. I really did not think spending this much money on a pillow was a good idea, but let me tell you, it was. I'm pregnant, and up till now, I've been having hip/back pain to the point where I'm limping in the mornings. It's been 5 nights since I started sleeping with this pillow and I woke up this morning with NO pain what so ever. This pillow is a dream pillow, and I really feel bad for anyone, pregnant or not, who does not sleep with this pillow. I can't imagine sleeping with out it now. I will probably won't take it apart to use as a nursing pillow when my child is born because I don't ever want to sleep without it again.

The con: I'm tall. I'm 5'9 and my feet do not reach the end of the pillow. I like my feet supported when I'm side lying. So when I have a pillow like this that I sleep with underneath my legs, hips, belly, etc., I like it to go all the way down to my feet. It doesn't. It's fine if my knees are bent, but I sometimes like to stretch my legs all the way out, and then my feet hang off. I have had other pregnancy pillows in the past and they were all the same way. The good thing about this company (Moonlight Slumber) is that they make custom size pillows. I didn't realize that until after I ordered it. But, I suggest you go to their website and look at more information about the pillow, and if you also are tall and want your feet supported, spend a few extra bucks and get a custom sized pillow.

This pillow is worth every penny. I have slept soundly and pain free for 5 nights, and there is no price tag one can put on that. I have no regrets.

(More customer reviews)Okay, I'm somewhat exaggerating, but this pillow is the BEST.Unlike the snoogle or other C-shaped pillows, this one is contoured to fit a pregnant woman's body.The rectangular part at the top serves as a regular pillow for your head, and the long part of it can go either behind you, down your back, or in front of you, depending on which way you lie.The long part is also contoured with a little "lip" that either fits perfectly into the small of your back or right above the pregnant belly, depending on which way you're facing.The curved part at the bottom goes between your thighs to keep your back aligned properly, and the curly little "tail" part goes under your body, either right above your hips or right at the top of your belly.Either way, your belly is cushioned and "cuddled" very comfortably.

I found out two years ago that I have no disc material in between my lowest vertebrae and am prone to back problems.I have been able to avoid back problems, after first throwing my back out very painfully two years ago, with physical therapy and exercise.But when I got pregnant, I was worried about how it would affect my back as I gained weight, since I'd had back pain during my first pregnancy.I started having back pain while sleeping about 8 weeks ago - but the first night I used this pillow (at 24 weeks), I had NO BACK PAIN at all!I wish I'd bought it sooner!

Also, unlike the snoogle, this product has a cover that has a long zipper on the longest side, so it is no problem to remove the cover and wash it.I've heard complaints about the cover for the snoogle, that it fits on like a sleeve and is therefore hard to remove to wash.

One more thing - I ordered this to be shipped regularly and the manufacturer delivered it to me the next day, so I was able to use it right away.I am very happy with this product.I may use it even after pregnancy!

(More customer reviews)I purchased a Boppy pillow prior to purchasing this pillow from another website.After struggling with the boppy constantly sliding off my lap and feeling like I had to hold onto the pillow and the baby for dear life or they would both slide to the floor (I have a wiggly baby), I went looking for another pillow.I found this one and I have been fairly happy with it.It still slides around on my lap some, but there is more room so it is more secure and my baby seems to like it better.His head is more elevated and there is more room for him on the pillow to sprawl out.He often falls asleep on my lap on the pillow.I do have some complaints though.The fabric is very thin, allowing polyester fibers to creep through and the pillow sheds them all over his feet, hands and clothes.The fabric stains easily because it is so dark (much darker than it appears on the website--medium to dark denim colored) and surface washing doesn't get rid of the stains.The product description says "machine washable" but the product information that comes with the pillow recommends against it and says that the pillow won't hold it's shape if you machine wash it.The pillow hasn't held it's shape anyway because the pillows don't have very firm stuffing.The Boppy pillow I had was stuffed firmly.This one is very squishy, more like a cheap bed pillow.The top pillow is held on with a velcro strap so that you can flip it back and forth when you switch sides (a handy feature), but the strap is causing the bottom pillow to smash down in the center so the pillow has a tendency to "fold up" like a book, when the baby is on it.Also, because he is a wiggler, the top pillow tends to twist around the bottom pillow.I still much prefer it over the Boppy, but I wish there was a happy medium.I gave it four stars because I like it that much better than the Boppy, in spite of it's flaws.

(More customer reviews)This particular body pillow is useful, but I think you can find comprable ones for less money.I removed the cover to wash it and was never able to put the pillow back in.The "air flow" feature isn't exactly that, but once the cover came off I found the pillow to be just fine without it.The pillow actually helps with my carpal tunnel issues caused by pregnancy and I can use it to more or less sleep on my back without causing my blood pressure to go up.All in all, I'm glad I bought it.

DreamGenii™ Maternity Body Support and Feeding Pillow Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this pillow based on the positive reviews on Amazon, which I want to thank every reviewer that posted. Informative shopping is the way to go. I'm overwhelmingly glad I got it - I love this pillow. That said, I've never tried another preggie pillow, so I don't have anything to compare it to. What works for me could possibly be related to my size, etc.

I'm about 5'8", small build. I've had achy hips & knees prior to being pregnant and buying a memory foam mattress topper helped remedy that. Being pregnant added new challenges. The pillow supports very well where I need it most-knees, belly, back and breasts. It is soft enough, comfortable enough and still firm enough that you can tilt on your back a bit, but still be mostly on your side as doctors recommend for pregnancy. This pillow keeps me pretty comfortable considering I'm a back sleeper and side sleeping is not natural for me.

Being pregnant, I've found myself going for roomier comfort (bigger bathroom stalls, looser clothes, isle seats, etc). I don't feel the pillow takes up too much room on our queen-sized bed typically shared with a couple of cats. I've tried using the photographic set up like you see here on Amazon & the packaging, but it doesn't suit me. I take up the right side of the bed (if you're looking at it, not in it) and I prefer to lay on my left keeping the shorter side of the pillow by the edge side of the bed for quick maneuvering to the loo in the middle of the night. This way I'm not climbing over that longer side or bonking my poor hubby or kitty in the head with it if I fold it upward. With the shorter side set up on my left, it supports my stomach and breasts better. Not to mention, then the longer side stays along my back really preventing me from rolling onto my back and the "tail end" of the pillow still curves in and supports my knees. Brilliant!

The only drawback to this product - finding additional or different pillow covers. The pillow comes with a simple white cover that's machine washable & dryable. You'll have to order covers from UK sites because this is a UK product. Shipping to the US is pricey. I was lucky enough to talk a nice UK eBay seller into letting me pay int'l shipping for his very affordably priced Dream Genii cover on eBay UK. It took a few weeks, but now I have a back up cover in case something happens to the first one (I get too pooped to wash it). I still feel happy with my purchase and that it deserves 5 stars.

UPDATE --
After using the DG for pregnancy, we now use it as a boppy-type pillow for the baby. What I didn't mention above months ago is that the DG pillow folds into a u-shape and the baby sits inside, supporting baby's body, neck and head. During my recovery, it kept my baby very comfortable next to me or on my lap, helping with feedings or just adoring my little one. My kid loves being it and I can't be happy enough with how helpful it's been during my pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Postpartum, I was on bed rest with weight bearing restrictions, had mobility issues and the worst pain of my life. Products like this are a Godsend. It's a tool that has many uses. And I can't put a price on being able to have my baby near during this amazing, yet stressful time.

(More customer reviews)Let me say that this pillow has been a god-send to me!From the very early weeks of my pregnancy, I have been experiencing fairly severe hip pain after I wake up.I tried putting a traditional body pillow in between my legs at night to relieve the pain, but it didn't help.I still ended up turning over 4 or 5 times every night because my hips were hurting so badly.I finally gave in at about 7 months and bought this pillow.I wish I would have had it all along! Here is what I love about it:

1. It contours to my body very well, so my belly is supported at all times.
2. If I do turn over to sleep on my other side, I don't have to turn the pillow too because it wraps all the way around me!
3. I have not had any hip pain since I started sleeping with this pillow.I used to ache for at least an hour after waking up and even limped sometimes because the pain was so bad.Now, I wake up feeling great!
4. It is not as big as it looks in the pictures.I am 5'8" and it fits me fine.I thought it would be way too big and take up my whole bed, but it doesn't.My husband and I have a queen size bed and we can both sleep comfortably without the pillow getting in his way.

I would recommend this product to any pregnant woman.I know you will sleep well with it!

(More customer reviews)I bought this pillow to make the transition to sleeping only on my side easier when I became pregnant. It is a wonderful pillow--except the area where your neck goes is very uncomfortable!

The seam of the inside curve on both ends is sewn while pulled very tightly, so when I position my head on top, this tight seam digs into my shoulder. I have tried to ease it by pushing it up against the headboard, or making sure the whole pillow wasn't held taut, or draping it with an extra pillowcase, but nothing I do has helped. I wake up with a sore shoulder, which stinks because I love the rest of the pillow! I'm going to see if it's returnable, and I'm going to try the one shaped like a "6", and use my own pillow for my head. Oh well!

(More customer reviews)I was a little hesitant about purchasing this product regarding a few of the issues some reviews mentioned (price, quality, seam, size), but now that I have used it I am incredibly glad I bought it.I am 6 months pregnant, 5'7" and have a fairly slender build and sleep on a queen size bed with my husband.

Here are the things I love about this pillow:

1.My overall sleep time has increased and deep sleep has improved.I think this is because the pillow hugs all around my body and I can roll over without adjusting 4 pillows.Now I don't even have to move the pillow, it is already where it needs to be.

2.Before pregnancy I always slept on my back and the switch to side sleeping has been incredibly difficult.This pillow has helped me feel comfortable on my side as well as offer kind of an in-between back and side position.Also, it has kept me from rolling on my back naturally while I sleep, which has been most helpful.

3.There are many positions to use this pillow as well as many positions you can assume with each pillow position.It also supports a growing belly very nicely.

4.I personally find the pillow stuffing to be pleasantly soft yet supportive at the same time.

5.This pillow is great for mid afternoon rests and short breaks.

6.Though it is a bit bulky it takes up only my half of the bed (queensize).My husband has not been annoyed or cramped because of it.In fact he often snuggles up against it in the night.

Cons: (minor ones at that)
1.A little pricey.But what price would you pay for a better, less miserable night of sleep.

2.Slightly rough pillowcase.

3.Less snuggle time through the night with hubby, but we can still be pretty close.

This pillow has fit my needs very well and has been worth the money.

**As an update. June 2008.This pillow has really helped me post partum.Nursing has been easier, it is very comforting to snuggle in when I'm feeling a little blue, and my body aches have been reduced thanks to it's many support positions.I personally feel that I would not have been very comfortable without this pillow especially the last 2 months of pregnancy.

I have one additional complaint about it.the pillow case became quitenubby and even more rough in some spots (mostly the area that my feet and legs occupied).
