(More customer reviews)I bought this pillow because it was one of the tallest ones out there and I am a very high-waisted person with a very tiny baby.The problem is that it's tall only on one side (6" or so) and on the other side (the one closest to your body) it is very short (about 3.5").This means the baby just rolls off and then in between the pillow and my body, pushing it out of the way.There is no way to keep baby on the pillow.This is the WORST design of any pillow I have tried, including the Boppy, and trust me, I have tried them all!

After talking with CS and having them send a second one out and still not being able to track the movement of my package i got very frustrated!

My Brest Friend Slipcover Review

(More customer reviews)BE AWARE THAT NOT ALL COLORS ARE THE "DELUXE" SLIPCOVER.Product title states "My Brest Friend Deluxe Slipcover."Blue/white and (maybe) Green Starburst are NOT deluxe, but "original" slipcovers.They will both fit the deluxe PILLOW, but they are NOT "deluxe" SLIPCOVERS.

Here's the difference between the deluxe and the original SLIPCOVERS (not pillows.)

The Deluxe cover that originally came with my DELUXE pillow uses a plusher ("fluffy") material and uses a velcro attachment to adjust the fit of the pillow.Looser fit on my deluxe pillow.

The "original" blue/white cover that I received is a plain cotton material, not plushy at all.It does not have velcro.You can adjust the fit by lengthening/shortening the strap on the buckle (think of how you adjust the straps on a backpack.)It fits snugger on my pillow.

You can see these differences if you examine the product pictures closely.As far as I can tell from the my brest friend website, my brest friend deluxe pillows have two bumps on it, and come with said deluxe covers, and originals are completely flat, with the non-plushy original covers.This explains the difference in fit.The deluxe are probably looser to accommodate the bumps on the deluxe pillow.

Product title leads one to believe all these colors are the same product.They are not.I thought I was getting the deluxe cover.Amazon should make this difference clear.

The only way one can tell is by looking closely at the product picture as one clicks on the different colors available.Also, when it is added to the cart, the product name (in the cart) changes to "My Brest Friend Slipcover" (note the absence of the word "DELUXE.")

I am disappointed because the blue/white is grouped with the deluxe slipcovers and cost $17, and I purchased it thinking it was the deluxe cover but it was not.But if you search for "my brest friend slipcovers" (no deluxe) you find some other designs under a separate product listing, for $14.50, as of this writing.Boo amazon!I would have returned it but didn't want to go through the rigmarole.

My Brest Friend Deluxe Pillow, Light Green Review

(More customer reviews)I used this for my baby's first month or so, while we were still getting the hang of breastfeeding.It was very comfortable and gave great support.I then stopped using it because I found it too awkward and time-consuming to put on and take off, especially while trying to hold the baby in one hand while he is wriggling and screaming for a meal.At those times, I wished I had a Boppy that I could just shove around my waist in a hurry.

My 7-year old daughter uses it to help her support the baby when she wants to hold him.It works GREAT for that, she can hold him without having to support all his weight with her arms.

PROS: It is very comfortable to wear and supported both me and the baby very well.This is a quality product, very sturdy and well-made.The cover zips off for washing.

CONS:It can be difficult to get the pillow around you and fastened when you are holding a baby in one hand.When your baby starts learning to sit up and you want something to support him on the floor, the Boppy works, but My Brest Friend doesn't.

(More customer reviews)The removable cover (zipper) makes this easy to clean (just make sure the velcro is stuck to itself when you wash it or it will stick to all your nice socks.

My wife tried a boppy for the first month then got this, which she used continually for the next year.

You can even use it standing up or when you move around since the strap goes around your back.The strap also provides back & lumbar support.The pocket is a nice touch (you put your Lansinoh, cell phone, baby nail clippers, etc in it)The only possible downside is it isn't that easy to put on with one hand (for example, if you are already cradling the baby)

If you're price sensitive look around, there are often significant discounts for older colors.
