(More customer reviews)Yes, I know I purchased a cheap carseat based on the price, but was surprised how cheap when it actually arrived. I would never put my children in this. The headrest is actually a detractor. It hits both my sons (1 and 2 yr old) in the back of the head, and juts their head forward, the fabric cover provides no padding and barely covers the plastic frame of the carseat. The cupholder does not stay on, even with nothing in the holder. I sent this carseat back the same day and decided to buy a Britax.

Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair - Trend Collection Review

(More customer reviews)I'd have given this chair 5 stars if it weren't so darned impossible to clean. We have a 6 month old, and this is his highchair. He's incredibly messy when he eats (that's how babies are at that age), and cleaning dried baby food off the wood chair isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, especially as excessive moisture will damage the wood.

What's worse is the safety strap that's built into the seat back. Cleaning the strap is extremely difficult. Want to remove the strap and wash it? Be prepapred to not only unscrew the harness attachment from the chair back, but you also have to disassemble the chair to slide the strap off.

Doing that every now and then I suppose would be ok, but after using the chair for just 3 week, the strap is vile and reeks. Having to clean it on a regular basis makes taking the chair apart a major headache.

I'd hold off on buying this chair for babies, wait until the kids are older.

If they would only make the cleaning aspect easier.... sigh.

Update, 1 year later. My son is now 18 months old, and the chair is much more age appropriate for him. Sure he's still messy, and the strap is kinda gross, but we no longer use the upper body straps, instead we just use the 3 point strap that goes around his legs and waist.It's nice bringing him to the table to eat with us, and as he's grown adjusting the chair has been easy to do.The poor strap design is still unacceptable in my opinion, but otherwise we're really happy we bought the chair now. Gonna change my rating from 3 to 4 stars. Again, for slightly older kids only. If we have a 2nd kid in the future, we wouldn't get a second chair until they're older.

(More customer reviews)Updated: As I removed the cushion from my daughter's chair, I noticed the back strap holding it to the chair was already tearing away.So "Pro #1" is off the list.I'd change it down to a 1 star, but the page isn't giving me that option.

Pros (not nearly enough to outweigh the cons, but enough to make me feel bad giving it 1 star):
1) It is very nicely made.The fabric seems durable, and the seams look well done.
2) The fabric wipes off better than a cloth seat cushion.

Cons:
1) It is a quite thick booster, and not really adjustable at all.I expected to be able to pat the beads around to arrange it to the height my 2 yr old daughter would need, but there is no way to remove any of the filling, and only a tiny bit of the filling can actually be shoved out of the way due to the shape in which the cushion is sewn.When my daughter is sitting in it, she can't get her legs under the table, so she has to sit pretty far back from the table and food gets all over her lap.

2) My daughter can't climb in and out of the chair anymore.She could easily climb in and out of her high chair that strapped to the dining room chair, so it's not like she isn't capable of climbing fairly well.It's that this booster is too high, so she can't reach the back of the chair above it to grab hold, and shifts around so much that she can't get a firm surface to climb onto.Then, once she's up there, the bean bag stuffing is very lopsided and not comfortable or easy to sit on at all, and my very patient daughter ends up yelling in frustration.I'm back to having to lift her into the chair so that she plops straight down to properly situate the bean bag stuffing.I haven't had to do this in at least 4 months, and it is very annoying.

Summary:Waste of money, waste of space, waste of plastic, wish I could return it.After three days of use, I will be replacing this with one or two cheap tie-back seat pads from Wal-Mart.I should have done this in the first place (I saw a friend stack two together so that her daughter could reach the table comfortably), but I was tempted by the wipe-clean fabric and other good reviews.

Stokke Tripp Trapp Baby Set Review

(More customer reviews)Okay, I was hesitant to buy this for our Tripp Trapp, but as we wanted to use it with our then-5 month old, we didn't have any choices as the old baby rail is discontinued and doesn't fit with the new model Tripp Trapps anyway.

We took the plunge. I have no idea what all the problems described in other reviews are about, because this set works great for us. We have no problems putting our 7 1/2 month old into this chair and baby rail set. We don't have any cushions installed because he makes a mess when he eats and would just get the cushions all dirty. But, we got a good deal and free cushions with the set so I just put them away for later. We don't usually use the seat belt presently because he likes sitting in the chair and doesn't try to escape. He just sits on top of the seat belt for now.

My son is about 27 inches tall and weighs at least 19 pounds. He's a very long and lean little guy. He sits up very well on his own now, but even before he was sitting well without help, he could sit in the Tripp Trapp with the baby rail and eat at the dinner table with us. The rail doesn't make him too far away from the table. In fact, I'm surprised at how far he can reach. We give him graham crackers to chew, and he can put them down on the table in front of him and pick them up as he likes.

We think he likes sitting here and eating so much better than when he had to sit on the floor in the bouncy seat to eat. Now, he's entertained sitting at our level during dinner. Thanks to the baby set which we added to the Tripp Trapp, he can do this at an earlier age. I do have to say that there is a potential for food to drip down between him and the baby rail when he leans back, but we use the Baby Bjorn bibs which have a great tray for catching food drips. Awesome combination, so our son stays mostly clean now when he eats.

UPDATE: My son is now 11 months old, weighs 21 lbs and is 28 inches tall. He still fits in the chair with the baby rail just fine and seems like he has plenty of room to grow. The chair with the rail scoots up to our table very well so he can reach for foods we put on the table in front of him for him to feed himself. I love how he can be right by us as we all eat, and not off to the side with a tray on the front of his high chair blocking him from pulling up to the family table.

(More customer reviews)Overall this is good seat.It is light weight and seems pretty sturdy.However, the turbobooster comes in many models, of which it is difficult to tell the subtle differences.I bought this one because the description says it comes with the Gracopedic luxury foam on the seat and padded side pillows.But contrary to the item description, this does not come with the side pillows.
Babies R Us offers similar models with both the upgraded seat and side pillows--they are called Abbey or Roanoke.This is the only model that comes with the neck pillow.

Bumbo Baby Seat Review

Ive been using the Bumbo for almost 6 months now, and it has helped tremendously if I tally all the work Im using it for.

Like most new mothers, I received and bought hundreds ( it feels like thousands)of new things for my baby. Like I have 3 gym or playmats,4 carriers, clothing, toys and more toys stacked up in the attic, etc.

BUT only 1 or 2 will stand out in each category.

BUMBO falls under the sitting-infant category. Its numero 1--No.1 in my list. When my baby's neck became strong, I started her on a Bumbo. It has a concave seat design, thus contouring around the baby's pudgy bottom. Its rubbery cushy so Im sure she's comfortable.

My baby also likes to see things from an upright position, and Im more than willing to oblige if that's her innate nature of inquisitiveness.

So far, We have used the Bumbo on the following activities:

1. Watch her Praise Baby DVDs
2. Watch me cook from the floor on her Bumbo
3. Play on her Bumbo with crunchy things
4. Recently, FEED her on her Bumbo ( cant use the high chair bec. she cant control her back yet)
5. Enjoy a date with my husband and her on a Bumbo inside the restaurant.
6. Play in the snow in her Bumbo. (Maybe she's wondering why everything around her was so white)
7.BATHE her quickly.

Yes, I'm bathing the baby using the Bumbo. Its hilariously fantastic! When she was 1-3months , of course we use the small tub. Then Ive been using the Summer Infant Bath Support wherein she's laid out like sunbathing. It didnt work so much because she wants to see everythingwithin her eye-level. The squirming didnt help.

I thought, why not use the Bumbo? It worked. As you can see from the video, she is in place and curious about the water.

Im careful not to move away from her so her bath lasts for less than 5 minutes. Bumbo does the job well. The water gushes out from the seat so Im sure she's squeaky clean. After turning the water off, I use the hooded towel from behind her. Place the hood on her head and scoop her up.

Moreover, Bumbo works during dinner time. We bring it with us when we head out to eat in restaurants or family gatherings. People cant help but smile at babies on a Bumbo. As I mentioned, they cant be on a high chair yet. I have a choice --- carry or bumbo her. Bumbo, it is.

Peeves :

1. Your baby may outgrow it too soon.
Some babies just grow too fast. While some babies outgrow their clothes, mine is on track. This may determine how one can outlast the bumbo. my baby's on track and so far she still fits the Bumbo. i could even see there's more room for her to grow into it.

2. Cost? Maybe
A rubber seat may cost too much, but I got a Nursing Baby Bond for $35 or a Boppy for same price. I suppose its uses outweighed cost disadvantage.
I got mine second hand during a street fair, back when I was clueless about baby products and very pregnant. It was literally handed to me. All I could do was nod ok.

3. Alert when baby wants out.
Never ever leave the baby on an elevated area on her Bumbo. Gravity+height+ squirming baby equates to disaster--awful disaster. By the time your babe reaches 5 months, her limbs will be noticeably strong. Hence, you must take precaution. She'll try to push her body out--yes, she'll try and she wont be successful but it'll sure budge the Bumbo.

I keep her on the floor--- at least, when she can whoop out of the chair, she'll land on the floor. Her developed skull can take that just as more falls to come from sitting up or walking. That's all for now.
