(More customer reviews)I bought this nap mat for my 22 month old son to use in Mothers Day Out (2 days a week).My older daughter has the mynappak which is still in great condition after 3 years of use (we machine wash and drape over the sofa to dry) but it is a little pricy and there are limited patterns for boys so I decided to try this Disney nap mat for him.There are several major issues with this item though.
1)There is almost no padding on the bottom so I had to send another blanket around with it so he wouldn't feel like he was sleeping directly on a hard floor.
2)The bottom portion is made of vinyl and his teacher complained that the mat slid around so much that he ended up just holding it and sleeping on the blanket that I sent.
3)The pillow is a large round neck pillow that is way too big for any child much less a toddler to sleep on .It also Velcroes onto the mat and if you remove the pillow then the scratchy Velcro strips on the mat remain right by the child's face.I suppose you could provide your own pillow and remove the velcro strips but that kind of defeats the purpose.The pillow is also not washable.
4)The carrying strap is too short to put over your shoulder and when you are juggling two kids, their bags, lunches, and nap mats it is just one other thing to struggle with.
The pictures on the blanket and pillow are very nice but all in all this is NOT a practical, comfortable, or useful product.I am returning this and spending the money on the nappak ([...]), my son is worth it.
